Info Post
A few years back Paramount announced that they were planning a film with Jessica Simpson taking over Pam Andersons role of CJ Parker and British model Keeley Hazell was set to play a lifeguard. The Hoff himself was also set to return as Mitch Buchanan. Then the project was cancelled. Later it was on again, but this time round, it was going to be a comedy like the 2004 "Starsky & Hutch" film with Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson. The writers of "The Hangover" films were signed on to write it.
But now it seems as though Paramount are going back to the first idea and make this version a direct adaption to the old TV show, rather than a comedy version. So it looks like this on/off planned BIG-screen adaption of "Baywatch" is possibly back on again with singer/actor Justin Timberlake starring as the lead role in it.If Timberlake accepts the lead role, then he'll be playing the role of a disgraced former Olympic swimmer who tries for a job in the Baywatch team of lifeguards. It's been said that the writers have wrote in scenes for David Hasselhoff and Pam Anderson's old characters. The good news is that it's not a total reboot then. It might just be a "passing of the torch" type film. The old team pass the work onto the new team.
