For lack of logic, I have found myself drawn back into the previously never-ending (currently ended) horror franchise, Saw. Even more peculiar, I have become addicted to watching the films with commentary by Saw II-IV director Darren Lynn Bousman. But that has nothing to do with what I'm writing about now.
Sometimes I just get distracted.
No, what I am wanting to share with you is a widely known short film, but something a lot of you might not be aware of. This, my friends, is Saw: The Short Film. Directed by James Wan and written by/starring Leigh Whannell, the men behind the first film, this was made as a teaser to show studios just exactly how the script for Saw was supposed to transpose to the screen.
Not a big budget slick-fest, but besides some cheesy CGI towards the end, it is actually a neat little short and a great representation of what Saw was to be. So, for any of you torture porn fans (lovely phrase...), here is an added bonus on top of the 50+ films in the franchise.
