Info Post
Reports online are saying that original "Star Wars" writer, Lawrence Kasdan, is returning to write the scripts for the next two films after "Episode 7", which is currently being wrote by Michael Arndt. It was rumored that Arndt was penning all three scripts, but it looks like that may not be the case now. Kasdan wrote the script for the amazing "Empire Strikes Back" and is looking to bring the feel of that installment into the new ones with "X-Men: First Class" writer, Simon Kinberg. It's also been rumored on Twitter that both writers of "Episode 8 & 9" will also be producers for the whole new trilogy too.
On the note of the new trilogy, Billy Dee Williams, who played Lando in "Return Of The Jedi" has announced that he would love to return for the new films.
It's also been confirmed that his character does appear in the first draft of the script, but it's unknown if he'll be kept in the final drafts too though.
