It's yet unknown if any of the original cast members or crew members will return. The last film was shite, so yeah I think a reboot is acceptable for this franchise. Just start again, but at least wait for about another 5 years or so and then start again. This is too early. Well you can say the same thing about "Spider-Man", but that's awesome though!!! I wonder if Universal will keep the same characters from the previous films or just totally start fresh with new characters? We'll just have to wait and see then.
