-Great album
-9.5/10 rating
-I've been telling people for a long time that Tyga is a good rapper and a even better artist. Sometimes when he's just "goin in" he ends up talking about nothing, and that just comes down to his wacky kind of style. But, when it comes down to making songs, Tyga can do it with the best of them and it showed on Careless World. The album has 23 songs, including the bonus tracks and excluding the interludes, and EVERY song is good, most are great. The best tracks are "Far Away ft. Chris Richardson", "Still Got It ft. Drake", "This Is Like ft. Robin Thicke", "For the Fame ft. Chris Brown", "Im Gone ft. Big Sean", "Muthafucka Up ft. Nicki Minaj", "Faded ft. Lil Wayne", "Kings and Queens ft. Nas, Wale", and really the list goes on. And, at first glance the list of songs might look similar to a DJ Khaled album, having a bunch a rappers all throughout the album, but Tyga's does a great job in not having his voice by cluttered by all the features. While listening to the album I never forgot who album this was and who songs these were. Besides him holding his own against all these other great artists, he also put to use great audio engineering. For instance, on "Im Gone" at the end of Tyga's first two verse it sounds like the song is going off but if you wait Big Sean comes on out of nowhere and kills it. Perhaps, if Tyga, would have just had Sean come on right after him you would of ended of with that DJ Khaled feel. In addition, like I said Sean came on after Tyga's first TWO verses, and that's how most of his songs with features are. On "Muthafucka Up", which Tyga kills Nicki on by the way, Tyga has almost 3 verses to Nicki's 1. On "Potty Mouth" with Bust Rhymes, Tyga has 2 verses, it didn't help him kill Busta though because... Busta just came on and did what Busta does. But, he still wanted to make sure his voice was on most of the track because it is his. And, the same goes for the track "Let it Show" with J. Cole and "Faded". And, then Tyga still has great songs where he's by himself, "Black Crowns", "Do it All", "Lil Homie", Love Game" (which has a great Kanye-like instrumental outro making the song over 7 minutes) , and the intro "Careless World". Now even though I give the album all this praise, it's still not a 10-rating, and that's only because two of the songs on there, hot as well, "Lay You Down" & "Light Dreams", are both like 2-3 years old. Tyga was probably working on this album and trying to release it for years and I guess and he really loved these songs, so he didn't want to waste them. But, I'm just not a fan of putting old songs your fans have been heard on your album. However, I will say because they are so old I can still listen to them now, because I haven't actually listened to them in so long.
